Welcome to the Web Site for the STEM Partnership  for College and Career Readiness Symposium

Thursday, April 21, 2011 – Friday, April 22, 2011

This web site will provide a way for STEM Education Symposium attendees to find resources and information shared at the symposium.

The primary objective of this symposium is to propose and explore the creation of a regional Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education partnership. This partnership will engage K-12 schools in sustainable transformations that measurably increase college and career readiness and success for all students. The work of the partnership will be organized and facilitated by a newly established STEM Center for College and Career Readiness. During the first day of the symposium partnership planners will meet with advisers and critical friends to review the core values, principles and operations of the STEM Center partnership. The second day of the symposium will include administrators from core and collaborating partners and invited guests. The agenda will feature a case statement for the creation of the STEM Center for College and Career Readiness and the presentation and analysis of the working draft of the STEM Center’s business plan. Colleagues from other regions of the state are invited to envision analogous STEM education partnerships.
